Boyd "B.J." Johnson
Boyd "B.J." Johnson, 45, passed away Monday, August 8th, in Abilene. He was born May 10, 1971 at Ft. Riley, the son of Boyd Junior and Evelyn Ann (Vinduska) Johnson. Growing up in Abilene and Lawton Oklahoma, B.J. attended local schools, graduated from Singer High School in Singer Louisiana, earned his CDL in Oklahoma and his CNA in Salina. He had been employed by Everett Trucking and Village Manor in Abilene. On November 11, 2000, B.J. married Terri Borden in Deming, New Mexico, later divorcing in 2010. He enjoyed elk and turkey hunting and had been one of the gunfighters in Old Abilene Town. B.J. was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by: mother, Evelyn Johnson of Abilene; sister J.J. Moore of West Memphis, Arkansas; brother, Philip Johnson of Quinter; nieces and nephews.
The family has chosen cremation. Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, August 13th, at the Danner Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until service time. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
