93, passed away Sunday, April 3rd, in Abilene. She was born January 8, 1923 near Longford, the daughter of Matt and Ella (Barringer) Greep. Growing up in the area, Gladys attended local schools, graduated from Longford Highschool and earned a Teaching Certificate to teach in rural schools including Talmage. On October 7th, 1945, she was married to J.W. Romberger. All of their married life was spent farming and raising livestock north of Abilene until moving to Abilene in 2012. He preceded her in death April 8, 2015. Gladys was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Nelson Romberger; 2 sisters, Alta Greep and Luella Mauch; and a brother, Dr. Roy O. Greep. She was a member of the Talmage United Methodist Church, U.M.W., Cheever E.H.U., Compassionate Friends and did volunteer work for Hospice of Dickinson County and the Dickinson County Historical Society.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, April 9th, at the Talmage United Methodist Church with Pastor Ken Stout officiating. Interment will follow in the Prairiedale Cemetery north of Talmage. The family will receive friends 5:30 – 6:30 PM Friday, April 8th, at the Danner Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions in her name be made to the Talmage United Methodist Church or the Talmage Historical Museum. They may be left at the Church the day of the service or left at or sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home POB 758 Abilene, Kansas 67410.
