Mary Ann Wehling
85, passed away Monday, March 7th, in Abilene. She was born April 14th, 1930 in Marysville, the daughter of Ernest and Irene (Rockwell) Wolff. Being the oldest of four children, Mary Ann attended local schools and graduated from Marysville High School with the class of 1948. After graduation she was a kindergarten aide at Lincoln Elementary in Marysville. In 1949,Mary Ann married Charlie Wehling. The early years of their married life was spent in Marysville until moving to Abilene in 1951. Mary Ann had worked for Dr. Butcher’s office and in the billing department at Memorial Hospital. Charlie preceded her in death in 1994. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, playing the piano at church, camping and fishing and volunteering at the Great Plains Theater. Mary Ann was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Dave Wolff and a son-in-law, Jerry Riggs.

The family has chosen cremation. Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 12th, at the Grace United Church of Christ with Rev. Phyllis Garrett and Pastor Pansy Beaudoin officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM until service time. The family suggests memorial contributions in her name be made to the Grace United Church of Christ or the Hospice of Dickinson County. The may be left at the church the day of the service or left at or sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home POB 758 Abilene, Kansas 67410.
