Helen L. Rose
95, passed away Sunday, September 27th, in Enterprise. She was born November 22, 1919 in Oklahoma City, the daughter of Ray V. and Lona Mae (Huffman) Graves. Growing up in Solomon, Helen attended local schools and graduated from Solomon High Schools with the class of 1938. On February 14, 1940 she was married to Chester Rose. All of their married life was spent farming south of Abilene. He preceded her in death September 11, 1972. Helen had been employed by Alco Warehouse from 1972 to 1994. She enjoyed spending time with her family, being outside on the farm, K.U. sports, quilting and sewing. Helen was preceded in death by a grandson, a sister, four brothers, a daughter-in-law and a son-in-law. She was a member of the Abilene First Christian Church.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM, October 1st, at the Danner Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Stanger officiating. Interment will follow in the Abilene Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions in her name be made to the Elsie Brooks Cancer Fund. They may be left at or sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home POB 758 Abilene, Kansas 67410.
