Everett “Frank” Mills
88, passed away Monday, August 31st, in Abilene. He was born September 19, 1926 in Milltown, Indiana. Growing up in Milltown, Frank attended local schools and graduated from Milltown High School. Frank was a World War II Navy Veteran serving in the Pacific Theater.
On November 29, 1949 he married Thelma I. Kinderknecht. The early years of their married life was spent in Indiana where he trained in electrical repair including televisions and radios. In 1954 the couple moved to Loveland, Colorado where he owned and operated Mills T.V. Sales and Service for 22 years. In 1976 they moved to Abilene to own and operate Mills Greyhounds until retiring in 1988. In retirement, they divided their time up between wintering in Arizona and summers in Kansas. Frank enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, golf, playing bingo and gambling. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Eunice Mills. Frank was a member of the National Greyhound Association, V.F.W. and Elks.
