91, passed away Friday, July 31st, in Abilene. She was born October 29, 1923 in Chapman, the daughter of Clyde and Myrl (Fisher) Kolling. Growing up in the area, she attended local schools and graduated from Chapman High School. On March 18, 1943, she was married to Leroy Nipper in Junction City. The early years of their married life was spent in Douglas, Georgia moving to Abilene in 1949. He preceded her in death February 2, 1997. Betty had been employed by the First Western State Bank in Abilene for ten years and the Citizens Bank in Abilene for 30 years retiring in 1993. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, fishing, sewing and cooking. Betty was also preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Brett Nipper and sister, Wynona Greenough. She was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church and other community clubs and groups.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, August 4th, at the Danner Funeral Home with Pastor Shane Britt officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Cemetery west of Upland.
The family will receive friends 5:30 – 6:30 PM Monday, August 3rd, at the Danner Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions in her name be made to the Abilene Public Library. They may be left at or sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home POB 758 Abilene, Kansas 67410.
