94, passed away Saturday, July 11th, in Abilene. She was born July 27, 1920 in the Bonaccord Community southwest of Abilene, the daughter of George F. and Vesta V. (Sexton) McBoyle. Growing up in the area, Faith attended local schools and graduated from Abilene High School with the class of 1938 and Emporia State Teachers College with the class of 1941 earning a teaching and music certificate. She taught music and regular classes in Kipp, Gypsum, Hutchinson, substituted in Bonaccord and taught music at Rural Center. On November 9, 1947, she was married to Virgil M. Meyer. All of their married life was spent in the Carlton community where they owned and operated the Virgil Meyer Elevator and had a farmer/stockman operation. He preceded her in death October 20, 2010. Faith enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, painting, taking pictures, and being out in the pasture enjoying nature. She accepted Jesus Christ as her savior at a young age and loved reading and studying the Bible throughout her entire life. Faith was a member of the Carlton Baptist Church, Women’s Mission Society, Christian Women’s Club, The Iris Club and Retired Teachers. Faith was preceded in death by a brother, Vincent McBoyle.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Thursday, July 16th, at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church with Pastor Shane Britt officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery southwest of Carlton. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 7:00 PM Wednesday at the Danner Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions in her name be made to the Hospice of Dickinson County. They may be left at the church the day of the service or left at or sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home POB 758 Abilene, Kansas 67410.
