Kenneth K. Greep
97, passed away Wednesday, May 20th, in Enterprise. He was born November 14, 1917 in the Longford area, the son of Fred D. and Jenny G. (McCune) Greep. Growing up in the Longford community, Kenneth attended local schools, graduated from Longford High School and attended Kansas State University for two years. He was a WW II Army veteran serving in the European Theater and earned the purple heart. On March 2, 1952, Kenneth married Velma V. Ayre. Most of their married life was spent in the Longford community where he was a farmer/stockman. He had been the grounds keeper for the Keystone Cemetery for many years and later a rural mail carrier until retiring at age 79. Kenneth enjoyed his family, carpentry and going to tractor shows. He was preceded in death by a son, Orrin; a sister, Hazel Coup and a brother, Myron Greep. Kenneth was a member of the American Legion and the Longford United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, May 26th, at the Danner Funeral Home with Pastor Lindsey Brummer officiating. Interment will follow in the Athelstane Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions in his memory be made to the Hospice of Dickinson County. They may be left at or sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home POB 748 Abilene, Kansas 67410.
