Kathryn “Kay” Anguiano
66, passed away Tuesday, February 3rd, in Abilene. She was born February 26, 1948 in Grayling, Michigan, the daughter of Washington R. and Mary C. (Murray) Sackrider. Growing up in Michigan and Kansas, she attended local schools. On November 7, 1966, Kay was married to Benjamin P. Anguiano Sr. in Minneapolis, Kansas. All of their married life was spent in Abilene. She was a member of the St. Andrews Catholic Church. Kay enjoyed being a wife, homemaker, mother, sister, spending time with her grandsons, sewing, sunflower seeds and being a friend to many. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Mary Ann Whittbrondt, a brother Michael Joseph Sackrider and a few nieces and nephews.

The family has chosen cremation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Monday, February 9th, at St. Andrews Catholic Church with Celebrant Fr. Henry Baxa officiating. Private family inurnment of the ashes will take place at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions in her name be made to the Kay Anguiano’s Grandchildren’s Education Fund. They may be left at the church the day of the service or left at or sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home POB 758 Abilene, Kansas 67410.
