88, passed away Tuesday, December 30th, in Abilene. She was born October 9, 1926 in Abilene, the oldest child of Louis and Pearl (Garten) Zey. Growing up in Abilene, Pauline attended local schools, graduated from Abilene High School and attended Marymount College. On August 27, 1943, she was married to Donald R. Sims. Together they raised eight children and owned and operated Abilene Termite and Pest Control for over 60 years. He preceded her in death October 26, 1999. Pauline had many interests including golf, gardening, reading, cooking, bridge, her friends, but her life was her family. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Steve and Ted, and three sisters, Patricia Corley, Martha Cook and Louise Miller. Pauline was a life member of the St. Andrews Parish.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, January 3rd, at the St. Andrews Catholic Church with Celebrant Fr. Henry Baxa officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. St. Joseph Cemetery. A parish rosary will be recited 5:00 PM Friday, January 2nd, at the St. Andrews Catholic Church with family visitation following in the parish hall. The family suggests memorial contributions in her name be made to the St. Andrews Catholic Church or School.
