Raymond W. Timm

Age 96, passed away Monday, December 30th, in Abilene. He was born December 9, 1917 in Woodbine, the son of Charles W. and Fannie M. (Schlesenger) Timm. Growing up in the area, he attended local schools. Raymond had been in the C.C. camp in Minnesota for several years and was a W.W. II Army veteran in the infantry. On January 8, 1946, he married Thelma M. Hammar in Olathe. Most all of their married life has been spent in Johnson and Dickinson Counties. He had been employed by Holland Construction and was in the Civil Service as a security guard at the Eisenhower Museum, retiring in 1982. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Lillian Edwards and a brother, LaVerne Timm.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 3rd, from the Edgerton Cemetery in Edgerton, Kansas with Rev. Stan Norman officiating. Interment will follow in the Edgerton Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:30 – 6:30 P.M. Thursday, January 2nd, at the Danner Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions in his name be made to the Dickinson County Home Health and Hospice. They may be left at or sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home POB 758 Abilene, Kansas 67410.
