Leon H. Kohman
Leon H. “Lee” Kohman,60 passed away Thursday, January 31st. He was born August 21, 1952 in Salina, the son of Henry Louis “Hank” and Marie Alice (Snider) Kohman. Growing up in the Farmington Community south of Abilene, he attended local schools and graduated from Chapman High School with the class of 1971. After high school he joined the National Guard as a tank mechanic. On February 4, 1977 he married Susan Karns, later divorcing. He was a farmer/cattleman in the Farmington Community all of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Ed Legg. He was a member of the St. Andrews Catholic Church, the Mt. St. Joseph Cemetery Board, Dickinson County Cattle Producers, Abilene Elks Lodge and the Newbern Wide Awake 4H Club.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 5th, at the St. Andrews Catholic Church with Fr. Henry Baxa officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. St. Joseph Cemetery. A vigil service will be held 5:30 P.M. Monday at the Danner Funeral Home with visitation following. The family suggests memorial contributions in his name be given to the Dickinson County 4H. They may be left at the church the day of the service or left at or sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home POB 758 Abilene, Kansas 67410.
